Marina Koldobskaya: artist’s biography

• Was born in 1961.
• Graduated Leningrad Higher Arts and Crafts College named after V.I.Mukhina with specialization in design.
• Has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Russia and abroad.
• From mid- 90s to mid-2000s worked as a journalist and critic.
• In 1999-2001 worked as a director of Nonconformist Art museum Музея in “Pushkinskaya 10” art centre (Saint-Petersburg).
• Since 2002 has been a director of Petersburg branch of State centre of Modern art.

During the years of perestroika Marina became a free lance artist. The principle creative interest lies in the investigation of ideologies and mythologies of the present day, artistic intrigue of social processes and social roles of modern art.
